1 GENERAL INFORMATION

AEA Technology plc (“the Company”) and its subsidiaries (together “AEA” or “the Group”) is one of the world’s leading consultancies in energy and climate change. An overview of the business is given in the Business Review.

The Company is a public limited company, incorporated and domiciled in the United Kingdom. The address of the registered office is 329 Harwell, Didcot, Oxfordshire, OX11 0QJ.

The Company is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The financial statements comprise:

Group and Company statements of recognised income and expense
Group and Company balance sheets
Group and Company cash flow statements
Notes to the financial statements

These financial statements are presented in pounds sterling because that is the currency of the primary economic environment in which the Group operates. Foreign operations are included in accordance with the policies set out in note 2.

These consolidated financial statements have been approved for issue by the Board on 12 June 2008.
